Here’s what our CA first

Interactive Read Aloud:
This week, we are
reading 2 of Jan Brett’s most popular winter books: The Hat and The
Mitten. We will be working on
retelling a familiar story and sequencing story events.
Phonics : : Our students are learning about contractions. Students will recognize that a contraction is when two
words are put together where one or more letters are omitted. An apostrophe replaces the omitted letters.
Grammar: We are introducing pronouns this week. A pronoun is a word that replaces a noun. “She,” “they,” “his,” and “it” are examples of pronouns. We will also continue identifying and recognizing nouns and verbs in our stories and writing.
